U.S. Geothermal's team brings together decades of corporate executive experience and operating management expertise in the many facets of natural resource development and the business of running an ethical company.


John Walker, Chairman of the Board

Mr. Walker, Toronto, Ontario, is the President and CEO of Northwoods Infrastructure Fund, a North American based US$250 million dollar infrastructure fund with a focus on mid-market investment opportunities. He brings over 30 years of experience in the electric, investment banking and consultancy industries. Throughout his career Mr. Walker has been an advisor to the Greater Toronto Airports Authority, Falconbridge, Halton Power Projects, and currently US Geothermal. Mr. Walker has a Master of Environmental Studies and a B.Sc. in Urban Studies.


Daniel Kunz, CEO, President and Director

Mr. Kunz, Boise, Idaho, has over 30 years of experience in all areas of engineering, management, accounting, finance and operations. Mr. Kunz holds a Masters of Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science and an Associate of Accounting degree. Mr. Kunz has held positions in Ivanhoe Mines (President), MK Gold Company (President & CEO) and Morrison Knudsen Corporation (Vice President & Controller, and as CFO to the Mining Group).


Doug Glaspey, COO and Director

Mr. Doug Glaspey, Boise, Idaho, is a metallurgical engineer with 29 years of operating and management experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mineral Processing Engineering and an Associate of Science in Engineering Science. His experience includes production management, planning and directing resource exploration programs, preparing feasibility studies and environmental permitting. Mr. Glaspey has held positions in U.S. Cobalt Inc. (President), Atlanta Gold Corporation of America Inc. (Project Manager), and Black Diamond Corporation (President).


Kerry Hawkley, CFO and Secretary

Mr. Hawkley, Boise, Idaho, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary, has over 30 years experience in all areas of accounting, finance and administration. Mr. Hawkley holds Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance. He started his career as an internal auditor with Union Pacific Corporation and has held various accounting management positions in the oil and gas, truck leasing, mining and energy industries. He has held positions with Triumph Gold Corp. (Controller), U.S. Geothermal Inc. (Controller) and LB Industries Inc (Controller, Treasurer and Director).


Kevin Kitz, Vice President Project Development

Mr. Kitz, Boise, Idaho, is a registered mechanical engineer who has worked exclusively in the geothermal industry since 1985. He has broad experience and responsibilities that have included PPA negotiation, resource development and optimization, power plant design, construction, and operation, drilling, and transmission. Before joining U.S. Geothermal in 2003, Mr. Kitz spent seven years in the Philippines working as an engineer and in engineering management on Unocal's projects. Mr. Kitz also worked in Indonesia and California on projects at Heber, the Geysers and Salton Sea.


Bob Cline, Vice President Engineering

Mr. Cline, Boise, Idaho is a registered Civil Engineer with over 25 years experience developing energy and water resources projects in the western U.S. Prior to joining U.S. Geothermal, Mr. Cline was Manager of Engineering at Ida-West Energy Company, playing a key role developing several hydroelectric and gas-fired generating facilities, and was instrumental in several highly successful hydroelectric facility acquisitions. Prior to 1991, Mr. Cline worked 9 years for the US Bureau of Reclamation where he was involved in engineering, contracting and construction of various water resources related projects in Arizona.


Christopher Harriman, President US Geothermal Services, LLC

Mr. Harriman, Twin Falls, Idaho, has over 10 years of power management experience and has eighteen years of industry experience. Mr. Harriman worked for Black Hills Generation as plant manager of two, ten megawatt cogeneration facilities in southern Idaho. He also spent eight years with Exxon Shipping, and served in the U.S. Coast Guard.


Paul Larkin, Director

Mr. Larkin, Vancouver, British Columbia, is President of the New Dawn Group, an investment and financial consulting firm located in Vancouver, British Columbia. New Dawn is primarily involved in corporate finance, merchant banking and administrative management of public companies. Mr. Larkin held various accounting and banking positions for over a decade before founding New Dawn in 1983. He is currently President of Tyner Resources Inc. and serves on the boards of a number of public and private companies.


Dr. Leland "Roy" Mink, Director

Dr. Mink, Worley, Idaho, is the former Program Director for the Geothermal Technologies Program, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Prior to working for the DOE Dr. Mink was the Vice President of Exploration for U.S. Geothermal Inc. He has also worked for Morrison-Kundson, Idaho Bureau of Mines and Geology and Idaho Water Resources Research Institute. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors for U.S. Geothermal Inc.
